About the Role: This new position would be responsible for flow management within configuration management, to include ensuring change activity through the process is moving smoothly across all programs. This includes managing changes along with their technical dependencies, coordination between process participants, and providing inputs to status/reporting against contractual schedules. This role will work closely with CM management and Systems Management/ Project Engineering leads. This role would also be investigating the overall health of the change process looking for areas of improvement and analyzing areas where things might be getting slowed down. This role is hybrid but will require onsite presence in Sterling Heights 2-3 days a week.

Responsibilities to Anticipate/Expect:
  • Manage changes from end to end to ensure aging within any area does not exceed agreed upon program timing.
  • Interact weekly with System Managers to ensure in depth understanding of schedule needs and to provide guidance on planning, areas of risk, and recommend staffing needs as applicable.
  • Interact with all roles within the change process to retrieve status, ensure correct communications during hand-offs where applicable during steps of the process that involve multiple organizations, and communicate daily with engineers, other role facilitators, and configuration management to ensure prioritization is understood by all.
  • Retrieve reports from Product Life Cycle Management reporting (PowerBI) to facilitate the most recent program status is understood by stakeholders. Work with database experts to provide the most appropriate reports and provide suggestions for continuous improvement.
  • Work daily within Teamcenter Active Workspace and Teamcenter Rich Client to investigate change details, ensure dependencies are being properly utilized and communicate to stakeholders when prioritization needs to occur.
  • Interact with program management and contracts as needed to ensure proper communications on customer direction are provided to all involved.
  • Other duties and functions as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / What you must have
  • Bachelor of Science. Technical disciplines preferred
  • 7 years experience in a related function preferred
  • Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project) Proficient
Additional Information
  • This position may require eligibility to obtain a US security clearance. (Non-US Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance)
  • The candidate will need to have strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Able to work overtime when required.
  • Able to bring continuous improvement processes and methodologies to the position.
