We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Concrete Laborer to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various concrete-related tasks and possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety on the job site.
Duties
Assist in the preparation and placement of concrete for various projects including foundations, sidewalks, and driveways.
Operate concrete mixers and other power tools safely and efficiently.
Perform concrete forming and finishing tasks to ensure high-quality results.
Install rebar and other reinforcement materials as required for structural integrity.
Read blueprints and schematics to understand project specifications and requirements.
Utilize hand tools for various construction tasks including caulking, plastering, and trim carpentry.
Conduct heavy lifting and manual labor as needed throughout the workday.
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while adhering to safety protocols.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Requirements
Proven experience in construction with a focus on concrete work is preferred.
Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment operation is beneficial.
Familiarity with construction estimating, renovation, masonry, flooring installation, tile laying, and hardscape is a plus.
Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) regularly throughout the shift.
Experience with carpentry, metal stud framing, roofing, welding, and restoration projects is advantageous.
Strong understanding of safety practices on construction sites.
Ability to read blueprints and schematics accurately.
Willingness to learn new skills and techniques related to concrete work.
