SUMMARY
The Computer Based Training Specialist (CBTS) is responsible for the development, and delivery of Interactive Multi-Media Instruction (IMI) and Computer Based Training (CBT). Products include training media in multi-media, virtual, game-based, and distributive training environments. The CBTS establishes methodologies, processes and working group interaction in all stages of IMI and CBT development to ensure reliable and repeatable results.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop engaging training materials for a variety of delivery methods, including instructor-led, computer-based, web-based, and mobile training.
  • Develop training products using Authoring Instructional Materials (AIM) Learning Object Module (LOM).
  • Work with Instructional Systems Designers, Graphic Artists, Programmers, and Subject Matter Experts in the development of interactive multimedia courseware.
  • Develop test items.
  • Scale development efforts to meet production timelines.
  • Keep abreast of training and development research: new materials, methods, and techniques.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in related field or two (2) \xe2\x80\x93 three (3) years of experience developing military training.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance (potentially up to a Top Secret (TS) Security Clearance) (U.S. Citizenship required).
  • Experience with authoring tools and related software for producing multimedia training packages.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
  • Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
  • Experience with military training is preferred, Navy experience is a plus.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and presentation skills.

TRAVEL The expected travel time is less than 25%.
DRIVING REQUIREMENTS Must have or be able to attain a valid state driver\xe2\x80\x99s license and be insurable on the company\xe2\x80\x99s automobile insurance policy.
Driving, with or without accommodation, may be required when traveling for training and/or short occasional amounts of local driving. The expected driving time is less than 25%.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus; occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT Work is performed in an office setting, may operate in military training areas. May be exposed to sharp objects, some heat, loud noise, chemicals, and vibration.
