The Community Inclusion Peer Support Specialist will be responsible for the facilitation of peer-led interventions being tested by the Temple University Collaborative on Community Inclusion. This is a full-time position. Essential functions: Conduct assessments; Co-develop treatment plans with individual clients; Facilitate intervention activities, and document consumer outcomes; Perform other duties as assigned. Certified as a Peer Support Specialist and clinical experience supporting community participation for individuals with serious mental illnesses. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Required Skills & Abilities:

  • Skills in implementing client-driven services.
  • Ability and comfort using Philadelphia public transportation (SEPTA) and ride a bike in an urban setting
  • Ability to support adults with serious mental illnesses in independent use of community resources.
  • Comfort delivering treatment services in the Philadelphia community.
  • Interest in rehabilitation research.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to operate all standard office equipment and software including MS Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations of students, faculty, staff, consumers, and mental health providers.
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and planning.

Preferred:
  • Experience working with adults with serious mental illness
This position requires a background check.
This is a grant funded position. This position is temporarily assigned a hybrid work arrangement (on-campus and remote), the duration of this hybrid work arrangement is at the discretion of Temple University and the Department.
