We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Community Manager to oversee and manage residential community development projects within the Richmond, VA area. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in homebuilding operations, community relations, and project management, ensuring successful delivery of residential neighborhoods that meet quality, budget, and timeline goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and coordinate all aspects of city-level residential development projects, including planning, permitting, construction, and sales support.
Serve as the primary liaison between municipal authorities, contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project progression.
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and quality standards, proactively identifying and mitigating risks to achieve operational efficiency.
Oversee compliance with local regulations, zoning laws, and environmental requirements.
Foster positive relationships with city officials, community stakeholders, and customers to support company reputation and project success.
Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and construction teams to align project goals and customer expectations.
Manage and mentor on-site staff and subcontractors, promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and accountability.
Prepare and present regular progress reports to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Urban Planning, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in residential development or homebuilding project management.
Strong understanding of local government processes, permitting, and land development in Richmond, VA.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and solve complex problems proactively.
Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
