The Community Manager serves as the face and voice of NuvoDesk Coworking, driving community engagement, member experience, and revenue growth through strategic partnerships, event marketing, and high?touch relationship building. This role partners closely with the external marketing agency and works alongside the Operations & Facilities Manager to create a vibrant, connected, and growth?focused community.
The Community Manager owns the NuvoDesk event experience, conducts tours, drives new membership sales, builds local partnerships, and ensures members are actively engaged with NuvoDesk events and digital tools, including the NuvoDesk Member Portal.
This position is
not
responsible for building operations. All operational duties previously assigned to this role (facility walkthroughs, inventory, mailroom, equipment oversight) have been fully removed from the position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Event Marketing & Promotion
Plan, promote, and execute NuvoDesk?hosted events, including Morning Mingle, Lunch & Learn sessions, member appreciation events, and special networking programs.
Collaborate with the marketing agency to create event campaigns, graphics, and digital promotions.
Secure speakers, sponsors, and door prizes for events.
Increase attendance through proactive outreach and relationship?building.
Serve as event host, ensuring high engagement and a polished attendee experience.
2. Sales: Tours, Meetings & Membership Growth
Conduct tours for prospects with professionalism, energy, and deep knowledge of membership offerings.
Hold on?site sales meetings with qualified prospects.
Execute follow?up sequences to convert leads into members.
Attend external networking events to generate leads and represent NuvoDesk.
Prepare weekly updates on leads, conversions, and pipeline activity.
Note: This role does not carry a formal quota but is directly responsible for driving occupancy through effective sales activity.
3. Community Engagement & Member Experience
Welcome new members and provide an exceptional onboarding experience.
Encourage and educate members on how to use the NuvoDesk Member Portal.
4. Partnerships, Ambassadors & Community Networking
Build partnerships with local organizations (Chambers of Commerce, BNI groups, nonprofits, corporate teams, etc.).
Recruit and manage NuvoDesk brand ambassadors and referral partners.
Represent NuvoDesk at community networking events to promote membership and programs.
5. Member Newsletter Ownership
Create monthly newsletters in partnership with the marketing agency.
Communicate upcoming events, new member announcements, sponsor highlights, and community updates.
Highlight NuvoDesk services and portal features to strengthen member engagement.
6. Collaboration with Marketing Agency
Provide event details, photos, videos, and community updates for marketing campaigns.
Approve event calendars, promotions, and on?site marketing materials.
Collaborate on campaigns that drive membership growth and event attendance.
QUALIFICATIONS
3-5 years of experience in community management, events, sales, or other customer?facing roles (coworking, hospitality, or membership?based organizations preferred).
Strong presentation and public speaking skills, including comfort with hosting events.
Natural networker with the ability to build rapport quickly.
Excellent writing skills for newsletters and partnership outreach.
Strong collaboration abilities, especially with external marketing teams.
CRM proficiency (HubSpot, Nexudus, or similar).
High energy, professional presence, and a passion for serving entrepreneurs.
