PAY RATE: $65,000-72,000 ANNUALLY

Position Summary:

Serve as the primary representative for the Company and the EMS profession to the public at large. Ensure the appropriate community education programs are developed in accordance with the needs of the various city and county entities and community partners. Oversee the planning, organizing, and implementation of applicable curriculum while ensuring the programs support the operational needs of the Company, as well as the needs of the community partners and shareholders. Build effective relationships with members of various community agencies and organizations. Seek out and foster creative funding sources and community relationships that promote community education initiatives. Events take place nights & weekends and 70% of duties take place in the field.

Responsibilities:

The Community Educator duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

*Serve as representative for the Company and the profession by participating in community educational events and programs.

*Serve as primary Company contact for inquiries and requests for standby services, including determining staffing and equipment needs.

*Serve as the primary social media administrator.

*Plan and acts as liaison to community events that meet the needs of local communities, agencies, and organizations we serve.

*Organize, promote, and facilitate education events that promote community awareness and safety related to EMS.

*Assist with teaching of internal courses when needed.

*Recruit, train, and develop the community outreach team and volunteers.

*Develop and coordinate community CPR programs, including CPR demos.

*Develop and implement Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for Kids\xe2\x80\x99 Programs, such as 911 services, CPR and AED training, bleeding control.

*Develop Public Information and Education classes (i.e., water safety, home safety, helmet safety, safe sitter babysitting, and medication safety).

*Prepare and submit all required quarterly reports to all LEMSAs

*Research markets to develop and expand the profitability of paid special events.

*Build quotes based off Falck Approved Pricing Sheets, process payment of prepaid events, billing vendors for events that on payment arrangements, and maintaining contact with vendors to ensure that payment has been made in a timely manner.

*Collaborate with Marketing, BD and PR colleagues if necessary, to ensure adequate sponsorship levels and prepare any needed materials.

*Coordinate staffing requirements, staff briefings, and post-event evaluation, adjusting processes as needed.

*Other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

The qualifications an individual in this position should possess are the following:

*Current EMT, Paramedic or RN licensure (Required)

*Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum development

*Project management and independent problem-solving skills

*Effective organizational and planning skills

*Strong communication and presentation skills

*Proven ability to train and work with others

*Strong people/relationship building skill

*Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other computer software/databases

*Ability to compile and analyze data effectively

*Ability to work independently and as a member of a work team

*4-5 years of experience in emergency response service (EMS) and/or community outreach

Education Requirements:

The individual in this position must possess the following education requirements:

AA degree, or equivalent college courses, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred:

CPR Instructor (required within 3 months of start date if not already in possession)

Current BLS Certification
