We are seeking a professional and knowledgeable property Claims Adjuster to join our team. In this role, you will examine property damage, process claim reports and negotiate payments. You will interview relevant parties and gather information to assist you in the claims process. The ideal candidate is highly organized with strong analytical and writing skills. This is a contract position for up to 3 years in New Mexico. You must be willing to live in New Mexico and go in the field as this is not a remote position. Per diem, transportation and hotel accommodations will be reimbursed.
Responsibilities
- Inspect the property for damage
- Interview claimants and witnesses
- Gather information from a variety of sources, including police reports and surveillance cameras
- Write claim reports
- Consult with other professionals
- Negotiate settlements
- High school diploma/GED required, bachelor's degree preferred
- 3 or more years of experience as a claims adjuster is a MUST
- Experience using industry-specific software
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience writing detailed reports
