United States (U.S.) Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. or U.S. territory for three (3) or more continuous years immediately preceding the start of Federal affiliation.
Duties
  • Responsible for the development of all sponsorship and advertising sales, using a customer-focused consultative selling process. Provide client-need based account management to maximize client/agency results and revenue growth.
  • Sells Army MWR media assets to clients by providing value through digital signage, web and traditional media channels. Develops proposals, meets and presents to clients; maintains a database of active accounts and revenue forecasts.
  • Works closely with internal teams to develop integrated advertising programs. Negotiates pricing and placement for sales campaigns.
  • This position is responsible for the overall coordination of MWR advertising and sponsorship revenue generation through solicitation of commercial businesses who desire a return on investment for their support to MWR events and programs.
  • Requires consistent achievement of sales goals and active management of/prospecting for new clients. Performs other duties as assigned.

  • Required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually, IAW DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 30 August 1993.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a valid motor vehicle operator's permit (US and/or local military license in assigned area) required.
Qualifications

A qualified candidate must possess the following:
Demonstrated work experience directly related to the duties to be performed, knowledge of commercial sponsorship practices and advertising theory. Must be able to articulate with strong communication and presentation skills. Organized and focused on priorities that move the sales process forward. Creative thinker who can match marketers' goals with military audiences available on our media properties. Ability to work independently and be a highly motivated self starter. A general knowledge of the military environment area is desirable. Follow-up communication and time management skills required. Ability to research, obtain and study information about clients products, services, needs, challenges, advertising/sponsorship history, and business practices in order to provide effective sales presentations and appropriate assistance. Manage and maintain sales automation processes.
In addition to the above qualifications, candidates who possess the following qualifications will be considered "Highly Preferred" or "Best Qualified":
Possess experience in giving oral presentations.
Possess an understanding of the military market/demographic. Possess demonstrated experience in the following:
  • Experience in solicitation and activation of advertising, sponsorship and/or another sales-related activity, including drafting sponsorship and advertising agreements.
  • Experience maintaining documentation on sales leads, client information and tracking outreach touch points.
  • Experience using Microsoft programs to generate proposals and/or solicitation materials and to generate reports and presentation ready dashboards.

  • This job is part of a pay-banded system. Sunday premium pay for regularly scheduled employees and night differential pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander.
