As the Commercial Relationship Manager, you serve as the key banking advisor for commercial client relationships. You love working with business line partners to expand existing relationships and prospecting new business. You engage with clients for a holistic approach to their financial needs, and provide customized banking insights and solutions. You coordinate team members in analysis and execution for the effective delivery of products and services to clients and prospects. You have a keen ability to identify loan, deposit, and core banking products and services that benefit the client. Individual Commercial Loan Growth

  • Identify, attract and win new commercial relationships to grow the Bank\'s market share
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to the largest and most complex clients, functions as the Commercial Banking client "expert" in providing differentiating consult, ideas, and options
  • Champion and lead business development efforts by developing a clear and holistic understanding of the client\'s or prospect\'s business and industry
  • Viewed by the client as a business strategist and shares a skilled financial perspective. Performs client reviews to ensure the bank provides relevant solutions as clients grow and adapt
  • Provide the client with deep knowledge in key product areas
  • Achieve individual production goals for loans, deposits and core fee income, to support the bank in achieving its overall financial targets
  • Develop focused strategies for acquiring, retaining and growing select clients
  • Maintain active prospecting effort and pipeline for consistent production
  • Anticipate and overcomes obstacles to ensure positive client experience and speed to market
  • Considers economic and industry situations relating to new or existing business as part of prudent business development and portfolio management
Credit Analysis/Decisioning
  • Underwrites new and renewing C&I and CRE credit requests
  • Experienced in interpreting and analyzing various types of financial statements to gauge financial strength
  • Proficient in tools used in daily activities including Outlook, Word, Excel, Precision Lender, CASH, Salesforce, Internet and Adobe
  • Analyze business, industry, financial data and other supporting credit information
  • Identifies key business and financial risks that may impact the repayment prospects by the borrower
  • Prepare timely, concise and accurate credit recommendations with limited supervision
  • Monitor borrower financial performance in line with commercial and/or real estate loan documents and CBMW credit policy
  • Spreads and/or ensures required financial statements are spread consistent with bank guidelines
  • Collaborates with Commercial Support Team to ensure borrower notifications are sent and approvals are obtained to resolve any exceptions in a timely manner
Credit Risk/Asset Quality
  • Participates in assessing risk and all credit processes which ensure sound asset quality, including underwriting, structuring and portfolio management activities to assure accurate portfolio risk assessment to help ensure prudent decisions are made
  • Willingness to learn and adhere to bank\'s risk-rating system, credit and underwriting policies
  • Working knowledge with structuring credit products to diverse industries with varying complexity
  • Follows all Bank policies and procedures, compliance regulations, and completes all required training
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Bank\'s written policies and procedures regarding Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Regulation E, Bank Security and other regulations as applicable to this job description

  • Partners with Retail, Business Solutions, Trust and other internal partners to earn full client relationship

Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree in finance, business, accounting or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 15+ years banking experience and/or demonstrated production in the commercial industry
  • 10+ years of commercial underwriting/credit analysis experience or relevant lending experience
  • Experience in various types of lending desirable including Agricultural, Construction, C&I, CRE, TRID, Charitable/Religious, Non-Profit, Tax-Exempt
  • Working knowledge of credit enhancements including interest rate swaps, tax credits, SBA/FSA/USDA and other guarantee programs
  • Strong credit acumen and skills including accounting, financial statement and cash flow analysis
  • Proven track record of success in developing new business and building a quality network resulting in a strong, growing portfolio with minimal exceptions and above average credit quality
  • Ability to negotiate/collaborate with Senior Credit Team on credit terms and structures
