As an Account Manager intern, . Your primary experience will involve farm direct grain origination to ADM assets, strategy, and growth of a territory.

Job Responsibilities
  • and Gain hands-on experience working on valuable tasks within our origination teams, and engaging with grain producers over the phone and in-person
  • Contribute to regional and overall grain origination objectives and initiatives
  • Develop a working knowledge of the customer and local market dynamics in your territory. This may include how local markets might provide selling opportunities, how tailored risk management solutions might meet specific marketing goals for the producer
  • Identify cross-selling opportunities within ADM\'s portfolio to benefit the producer
  • Network to attain positive, collaborative relationships with internal colleagues across divisions
  • Engage with accounting and administrative staff to ensure timely and accurate accounting and contract management
  • Effectively communicate competitive advantages and vulnerabilities to further the development and success of ADM to key internal stakeholders
STRENGTHS OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE
  • Able to complete an internship in the summer (May/June-August 2024)
  • Must be geographically flexible to relocate to ADM sites
  • Strong analytical abilities, problem-solving skills, and a solutions focused mindset are necessary to adapt to a rapidly changing environment
  • Demonstrate an aptitude to evaluate and manage risk with producer accounts
  • Comfortable exercising decision-making skills
  • Highly motivated to succeed and continuously improve
  • Actively pursuing a bachelor\'s degree in business or agriculture, or equivalent experience with an anticipated graduation between December 2024 and Summer 2026
  • Preferred GPA of 2.8 or greater
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to function effectively, both independently and with a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as the ability to collaborate within various levels of an organization
INTERNSHIP DETAILS
  • Internships are 10-12 weeks in duration
  • Interns are responsible for transportation to and from work
  • Interns who demonstrate high potential and engagement may be offered another internship if still pursuing a degree, or a full-time position after graduation
