Job Description


Summary

High School Equivalency (HSE) testers administer HSE tests and will also assist with TABE testing. Availability needed for days and evenings at Sandhills Community College\'s main campus, Hoke campus

Essential Functions

  • Pass the High School Equivalency vendor\'s exam to become certified as official HSE test examiner. Maintain certification by completing required trainings annually.
  • Administer HSE tests in accordance with vendor policies and procedures at Moore and Hoke County campuses and in Hoke Correctional Institution.
  • Interface with the HSE Chief Examiner or designated CCR staff of testing sites to help resolve any questions or concerns.
  • Assist in administering TABE and/or CASAS tests as needed for student orientations and post-testing.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree required.
  • Experience in a certified testing center or administering official high school equivalency tests preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse populations and in a correctional facility.
  • Ability to demonstrate success on test of basic skills.
Supplemental Information

Salary to be commensurate with experience and state salary schedules. Selection is contingent on final budget approval.

Department Chair/Program Coordinator reviews applicant files monthly for future
teaching assignments.
