Clinical Supervisor

TX, US, United States

Job Description

Who We Are

Everlong is a fast-growing, Techstars-backed healthcare startup committed to empowering individuals to achieve lasting health and well-being through personalized nutrition counseling. Our behavior-change approach addresses the psychological and emotional aspects of food, empowering our patients to break unhealthy patterns. By focusing on sustainable habits and personalized support, we help our patients achieve lasting transformation and improve their relationship with food.

At Everlong, we pride ourselves on our collaborative culture and unwavering commitment to excellence, working together to deliver personalized care that enhances long-term wellness and improves our patients' quality of life.

About the Role

As a Clinical Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in ensuring Everlong delivers high-quality, compassionate, and consistent nutrition care. This hybrid role blends clinical leadership and practice; you'll spend part of your time providing one-on-one counseling to patients and the rest leading, mentoring, and taking full ownership of your team's growth and performance.

You'll serve as the primary point of leadership and accountability for the Registered Dietitian (RD) team, providing direction, mentorship, and structure while ensuring alignment with Everlong's clinical standards. You act as the liaison between leadership and the RD team, ensuring clarity, consistency, and support. You foster trust, high performance, and continuous improvement.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on both people leadership and direct patient care - someone who leads with trust, communicates clearly, and takes full ownership of their team and outcomes. You'll also play a key role in developing and delivering clinical trainings, taking what you know and will learn through your own professional growth and training (including areas like behavior change) and turning it into practical, impactful training resources for the team.

Key Responsibilities

Clinical Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor the RD team through structured clinical coaching and performance development sessions to foster growth, initiative, and accountability. Team Ownership: Take full ownership of RD team performance, culture, and clinical outcomes, acting as the first line of leadership, guidance, and problem-solving. Lead Team Meetings: Plan and facilitate purposeful team meetings with clear agendas, training components, and actionable outcomes. Onboarding & Training: Conduct welcome calls and onboarding 1:1s for new hires, ensuring they feel supported and well-integrated from day one. Training Development: Create, deliver, and continuously refine team trainings, including behavior-change education, skill-building workshops, and ongoing professional development opportunities. Quality Oversight: Monitor clinical performance indicators and lead continuous improvement initiatives in quality, compliance, and patient care. Clinical Quality Support: Oversee the Clinical Quality Email process, ensuring updates, resources, and team communications are accurate and timely. Culture & Team Excellence: Build and maintain a motivated, self-sufficient, and high-performing clinical team that consistently delivers top-tier patient care. Continuous Improvement & Efficiency: Regularly assess clinical workflows and communication processes (including the Clinical Quality Email) to identify inefficiencies, streamline processes, and implement automation where possible, driving smoother, more scalable systems for the team. Operational Flexibility: Balance supervision and counseling responsibilities according to evolving team and organizational needs. One-Off Projects & Training Development: Lead or contribute to one-off projects as needed, including developing training resources, conducting research, and supporting clinical or operational initiatives that advance Everlong's mission and improve patient care.

Who We're Looking For

You are someone who thrives in a collaborative, fast-moving environment and brings calm, confident leadership to a growing startup. You take complete ownership of your role and team, leading with clarity, accountability, and purpose. You act as both coach and advocate, ensuring your team has what they need to excel while maintaining Everlong's high clinical standards.

You move comfortably between counseling patients and guiding a team, balancing hands-on care with strategic oversight. You don't wait for direction; you take initiative, make smart decisions, and keep things moving. Above all, you're motivated by impact, helping your team deliver exceptional care, improving patient outcomes, and serving as the bridge between leadership and the clinical team, ensuring alignment, focus, and sustainable growth. You are curious, coachable, and committed to growth, always looking for ways to learn, improve, and help your team do the same. You take initiative, embrace feedback, and see professional development as a core part of your role.
