Director of Information Technology
, this position is responsible for the design, implementation, and optimization of
Electronic Health Record (EHR)
systems and other clinical technology solutions.The specialist will collaborate closely with healthcare providers, IT teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure data integrity, interoperability, and usability across systems. This position also leads data analytics initiatives, develops customized reports and interfaces, and ensures all solutions comply with healthcare regulations, security standards, and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of EHR systems and clinical informatics tools.
Partner with clinical and operational leaders to assess workflow needs and develop technology-driven solutions.
Develop, maintain, and optimize custom reports, dashboards, and interfaces to support clinical decision-making and performance improvement.
Manage data integration, interoperability, and quality initiatives across multiple systems and departments.
Provide training and support to end users, promoting adoption and effective use of health IT tools.
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, data privacy, and other regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with IT and clinical leadership to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
Stay current with industry trends, standards, and emerging technologies in clinical informatics.
QualificationsEducation:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Health Informatics, Computer Science, Nursing, or a related field required.
Master's degree in Health Informatics, Information Systems, or a related discipline preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of five (5) years of experience in health informatics, EHR management, or a related role.
Hands-on experience with
Cerner
or another major EHR platform required.
Experience in a healthcare or clinical setting strongly preferred.
Licensure & Certifications:
Current
Registered Nurse (RN)
license in the State of New Mexico, or eligibility for licensure by reciprocity.
Clinical Informatics certification
(e.g., CPHIMS, CAHIMS) preferred.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
certification required (must be obtained within three months of hire if not current).

Pay: $85,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
