physician licensed in the state of CT (preferred)
with strong leadership, clinical, and administrative experience, and a passion for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to diverse and underserved communities.
Key Responsibilities
Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the Adult Medicine Department.
Deliver high-quality, efficient patient care in accordance with organizational standards.
Supervise and support physicians, APRNs, and PAs, fostering a culture of teamwork and excellence.
Lead recruitment, onboarding, retention, and performance management of clinical staff.
Develop and implement departmental goals and strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
Promote compliance with clinical standards and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate across departments to improve patient outcomes, efficiency, and satisfaction.
Utilize data to guide evidence-based decision-making and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Participate in enterprise-level projects and strategic planning activities.
Qualifications
MD or DO
from an accredited medical school.
Board Certification
in
Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
(required).
Active or eligible Connecticut Physician License
(preferred).
Proven ability to deliver high-quality patient care efficiently.
Experience working with
underserved populations
with complex healthcare needs.
Leadership experience in a
large health center or private practice
, preferably as a
Director or Associate Director
.
Experience supervising
advanced practitioners (APRNs, PAs)
.
Knowledge of compliance, regulatory, and quality improvement processes.
Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with
electronic health record (EHR)
systems.
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with staff, patients, and external partners.
A proactive, resourceful, and accountable approach to leadership and problem-solving.
