Job Summary

The Clinic Office Assistant III provides a variety of clerical duties in the rural clinic setting. Duties may include answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, gathering patient insurance information, scanning medical records into patient\xe2\x80\x99s charts, posting co-payments, and other duties as assigned. Obtains and forwards Physician Orders to the appropriate party as assigned and informs patient of time of referral appointment and/or outpatient testing. Insure patient is informed of any special instructions per physician on testing facility and forwards pertinent patient care records to facility or provider as directed. The Clinic Office Assistant III responds promptly to the request of others and provides excellent customer service by assisting as needed.

Job Requirements

Education

Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent

Experience

Preferred: 1-2 years of previous medical office experience

Skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams

Proficient Computer skills

Licensure/Certification/Registration
