Job Description


The TUMG Satellite Clinic Manager, under the supervision of the Tulane University Medical Group Director of Clinic Operations, is responsible for providing overall leadership and management of multiple outreach clinics and assuring excellent patient care. The Clinic Manager is responsible and accountable for the day to day operations of the clinic, personnel management (clinical and clerical), coordination of external sublease arrangements and personnel coordination, financial management, professional fee billing activities, cash management, quality improvement activities, training and input on strategic planning with the Director of Clinic Operations. Ensures appropriate staffing and or assists and backs up all staff with as needed. This individual is responsible for providing high level decision making in order to manage daily functions of multiple clinic locations in a broad area across the New Orleans and surrounding regions. Works toward continuous improvement in a team environment is a crucial element of this position. Works with Department administrative teams as well as lead physicians within each area to ensure good communication and coordination of outreach clinics operations and strategy.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Excellent supervisory skills.

Proven critical thinking and problem-solving abilities including resolving complex problems requiring innovative solutions.

Strong communication skills - ability to enhance operations, productivity, and efficiency

Ability to work on multiple tasks with multiple groups independently and concurrently

Ability to present oneself and one\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s ideas with clarity, confidence and poise

Skilled in managing and motivating staff located at multiple locations.

Knowledge of Microsoft Word and proficiency in Excel

Ability to maintain confidentiality in all work performed

Ability to travel within the New Orleans/Baton Rouge/Northshore area
Required Education and/or Experience

Bachelor\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s Degree and seven years operations and financial management experience in a healthcare setting;

OR

High School Diploma/Equivalent and ten years operations and financial management experience in a healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications

More than five years\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99 clinic operations and financial management experience.

Surgical clinic operations experience.
