This is a highly compensated, full-time, permanent position. Work will be performed primarily at the DOE facility in Germantown, Maryland. This is a 100% on-site position.

GET is seeking a highly qualified Nuclear Analyst with a physical science degree (i.e., physicist, nuclear engineer, chemist, etc.) to provide Technical Classification Guidance support at the U.S. Department of Energy\'s Office of Classification (OC) in Germantown, Maryland.

Nuclear Analyst Duties:

  • Under the direction of a Senior Technical Guidance Analyst (STGA), the Nuclear Analyst assists with the preparation of classification guidance and classification/declassification policy documents in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, DOE orders, and DOE procedures for RD, FRD, NSI, and UCNI
  • The Nuclear Analyst also analyzes information to determine whether the material is classified or unclassified but sensitive
Requirements

Skills and Experience:
  • The individual should ideally have at least one (1) year of experience conducting classification reviews in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, DOE orders, and DOE Office of Classification (OC) procedures for RD, FRD, NSI, and UNCI
  • This position requires the ability to write concise technical subject matter guidance
  • Candidate must be able to read and understand written English at or above academic grade 15
  • This is a critical position that has a direct impact on our company\'s success; the ability to maintain a positive and constructive relationship with team members, employees, and clients is essential to our mission
Education:

This position requires a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in engineering or physical science from an accredited college or university.

Security Clearance:

This position requires a current, fully adjudicated Top Secret security clearance or DOE Q security clearance. The applicant must have the ability to obtain and maintain an SCI clearance as a condition of continued employment.
