Must be a current contractor with Cigna Healthcare, Evernorth Health Services, or one of their subsidiaries.

Delivers basic technical, administrative, or operative Claims tasks. Examines and processes paper claims and/or electronic claims. Completes data entry, maintains files, and provides support. Understands simple instructions and procedures. Performs Claims duties under direct instruction and close supervision. Work is allocated on a day-to-day or task-by-task basis with clear instructions. Entry point into professional roles.

Summary:

• Responsible for the processing of medical claims in eviCore\'s claims systems and various health plan systems to include Blue Squared, Pulse and NASCO.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology, health insurance plans and medical billing concepts.
• Apply proper claim concepts, rules and practices, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of claims payment.
• Exhibit good written and oral communication skills when interacting with leadership and peers.
• Ability to follow workflows and SOPs to confirm member eligibility and claim pricing.
• Verify member authorization data and service appropriateness in ImageOne and MC400.
• Meet and exceed departmental goals, quality and production standards.
• Comply with departmental policies, procedures and goals.
• Other responsibilities as assigned.

Education : High School diploma or GED

Experience : Preferred experience with, Microsoft Excel and Word.

For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of 17 - 22 USD / hourly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
