Job Description


STV is a national, award-winning firm, providing comprehensive architectural/engineering, planning, construction management services to assist clients throughout the entire project process-from definition of need through planning, design, construction, and closeout. We provide these services on a variety of projects in the major building and infrastructure markets.

STV currently has an opening in our Boston, MA office for a Civil/Highway Engineer in our Transportation and Infrastructure Division.

Key responsibilities will include geometric design and review of all phases of highway/Rail/site plan development for our various projects.

The preferred candidate should have Highway/Rail/site design, plan and report development experience including:

  • Roadway / Highway Design
  • Roadway modeling and cross section development
  • Pavement section design
  • Grading and drainage
  • Prepare Traffic management Plans
  • Stormwater Design
  • Signing and pavement marking
  • Proficient in Civil 3D / Open Roads and Hydrocad
Required Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field required
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience is preferred
  • MA PE is preferred but not required.
  • Civil 3D, OpenRoads, Microstation and Microsoft Office. AutoCAD a plus
  • Active participation in professional society activities encouraged.
  • Must be able to fulfill essential job functions in a consistent state of alertness and safe manner
