Responsibilities:

Own the day-to-day operations; manage and assume responsibility for the center Develop, maintain, and adhere to all guidelines, licensing requirements, health regulations, fire codes Oversee staff hiring, orientation, training, evaluations, and disciplinary process enforcement Provide direct supervision for teachers, assistants, aides, volunteers, and any support staff Establish positive relationships and communicate effectively with corporate administration, staff, children, parents, and members of the community Ensure billing and collection procedures are done accurately and in a timely manner Keep center's expenses within allotted budget and prepare monthly reports Market center to promote enrollment Maintain a profitable center that meets and/or exceeds state licensing requirements Facilitate multiple online platforms that assist in teaching, parent engagement, and staff management
Requirements:

MUST satisfy Virginia program director qualifications (22 VAC 40-185-190) A passion for childcare and children's wellbeing, education, and growth Ability to successfully pass and maintain criminal background history checks, pass drug testing, and Child Protective Services Registry 3+ years of childcare experience including 1+ years of experience as an Assistant Director for a daycare /childcare 1+ years of experience in a classroom setting or daycare / childcare provider Well-organized, thorough, and highly reliable/dependable Excited to use the best technology for running the business aspects of the center (Intellikids (CRM, Hiring Tool), Child Care Seer (ProCare like tool), Electronic Daily Journals, Curriculum Management, Bamboo (timesheet/HR tool), Excel, Word) Ability to handle stressful situations with grace; maintain a high level of professionalism, work ethic, and integrity at all times A demonstrated focus on the business management of a center
Preferred experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field Strong leadership and supervisory skills Demonstrate financial management and organizational skills Direct experience as a professional teacher of younger children Proficiency in Microsoft Office is highly preferred Evening/Weekend availability for occasional Parent Nights and Center events
