We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the food industry, with experience in both restaurant style dining and preferrably senior living industry. As a Chef, you will be responsible for creating delicious and innovative dishes while assisting the with kitchen operations to ensure high standards of food quality and presentation. This role requires excellent leadership skills, creativity in menu planning, and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute seasonal menus that reflect current culinary trends and customer preferences.
Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Manage inventory, ordering supplies, and maintaining kitchen equipment.
Lead, train, and mentor kitchen staff to foster a productive and positive work environment.
Collaborate with the dietary department to accommodate special dietary needs and preferences.
Ensure compliance with health regulations and food safety standards.
Participate in the planning and execution of special events, including banquets and catering services.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace.
Experience
Proven experience as a Chef in a senior living community preferred.
Strong leadership skills with experience in team management.
Proficiency in menu planning and food service management.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work well under pressure.
A passion for hospitality and delivering exceptional dining experiences.
