Overview


We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Charge Nurse to join our healthcare team. Float to AGH Hospital (floating required) Night Shift 7p-7a every other weekend/rotation as needed
Experience: 2 + years tele experience 1 year previous travel experience tele experience, ACLS, BLS. Tele test will be administered on first day and it will be pass/fail Fail could result in assignment termination Study material will be provided at the time of assignment confirmation. Flu vaccine required Current staff will need to be vaccinated Active MA license required

Duties



Supervise and coordinate nursing staff activities to ensure optimal patient care delivery. Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized care plans. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring compliance with safety protocols. Monitor vital signs and document changes in patient conditions accurately in EMR/EHR systems. Provide guidance and support to nursing staff in clinical decision-making and problem-solving. Ensure adherence to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to facilitate effective communication regarding patient needs. Participate in the orientation and training of new nursing staff members. Maintain accurate medical records, including documentation of procedures, assessments, and interventions. Stay current with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, physiology knowledge, and best practices in nursing.

Experience


Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

Level II trauma center experience is preferred; Level I trauma center experience is a plus. Background in hospital medicine, emergency medicine, or urgent care settings. Experience with infectious disease care, geriatrics, PICU, OR procedures, or outpatient clinic environments is highly valued. Proficiency in IV insertion, venipuncture, medication administration, and administering injections. Familiarity with medical documentation processes and vital sign monitoring. Strong understanding of post-acute care experience as well as medical-surgical nursing principles. Previous experience working within EMR/EHR systems is essential for effective documentation.
