We are seeking an experienced, high caliber Sr. Engineering Change Specialist to support the Advisor HD value stream in Plymouth, Minnesota. This role will function as a subject matter expert in Windchill, SAP, InforEAM for the Advisor HD team. The Sr. Engineering Change Specialist will ensure the group completes effective change requests through:

Effective administration

properly applied configuration control concepts

maintaining controlled documentation and records

maintaining documentation databases

ensuring adherence to written documentation policies and procedures

This role will also provide training and guidance to employees, identify issues and assist in resolving issues.

Impact this role will have on Abbott:

Coordinate and control the processing of document and part changes, including delegation within Documentation Control and coordination and assignment of urgent changes.

Monitor incoming change requests and ensures that changes are picked up and processed in a timely manner.

Communicate business priorities to ensure high priority changes are managed to meet business objectives.

Act as first point of contact for engineering documentation processes when questions/concerns arise.

Provide training and coaching to engineering team.

Assist in the coordination of the engineering activities to meet departmental goals and project deadlines.

Provide information and feedback, both positive and corrective, to engineers based on communication from management or users.

Coordinate implementation of change requests with all affected areas/facilities.

Work with remote facilities/affected sites as necessary to assist in changes that affect multiple locations.

Maintain departmental procedures and update as required.

Provide guidance and support to employees to understand documentation concepts and requirements.

Keep departmental employees abreast of changes or updates to procedures as necessary.

Support all Divisional initiatives as identified by divisional management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Support all Company initiatives as identified by management and in support of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and other regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

High School degree or equivalent required.

5+ year\xe2\x80\x99s experience in an FDA or ISO controlled industry.

Additional training of Document Control and Configuration Mgmt concepts.

Knowledge of FDA, GMP, and ISO 13485.

Ability to deliver informal coaching in a one-on-one setting.

Be able to influence or guide departmental personnel.

Strong computer skills and report writing skills

Preferred Knowledge of ERP/PDM databases (i.e. SAP, Windchill, InforEAM).

Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse business environment.

Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment.

Ability to influence and/or engage others to accomplish projects.

Strong verbal and written communications with ability to effectively communicate at multiple levels in the organization.

Able to manage competing priorities and meets deadlines in timely manner.

Strong organizational and follow-up skills, as well as attention to detail.
