Duties
Operate and oversee the chain link fabric weaving machines, ensuring continuous and efficient production.
Conduct quality inspections throughout the weaving process to detect defects or inconsistencies, maintaining high product standards.
Set up machinery according to specifications, including adjusting tension, feed rates, and other parameters for optimal output.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on weaving equipment to minimize downtime and ensure safety compliance.
Handle materials with care, including loading raw wire coils onto machines and managing finished fabric for packaging or further processing.
Assist with sewing machine operations when necessary for finishing touches or repairs on woven fabric components.
Support packaging processes by preparing finished products for shipment, including stacking, wrapping, and labeling.
Use mechanical knowledge to identify issues quickly and implement corrective actions in collaboration with maintenance teams.
Maintain accurate records of production output, machine performance, and quality checks for reporting purposes.
Follow lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow, reduce waste, and improve overall efficiency within the production line.
Skills
Strong mechanical knowledge related to weaving machinery and general manufacturing equipment.
Experience with quality inspection techniques to identify defects early in the production process.
Familiarity with sewing machines and sewing techniques used in fabric finishing or repairs.
Knowledge of materials handling practices for raw materials and finished goods within a warehouse setting.
Ability to operate forklift or pallet jack for moving heavy wire coils or finished products safely.
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote continuous improvement and waste reduction.
Basic machining skills for troubleshooting equipment issues effectively.
Warehouse experience is preferred to coordinate inventory movement smoothly within the facility.
Skills in screen printing are a plus for applying markings or labels on finished products when required.
