What you'll do

Perform venipuncture and capillary blood sampling with precision and care. Collect, label, and process specimens following established protocols to ensure accuracy. Maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures to prevent contamination. Provide exceptional patient service by explaining procedures and easing any concerns. Monitor and record vital signs as needed to ensure patient safety during procedures. Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate smooth laboratory operations. Uphold medical terminology standards while documenting patient information accurately. Stay updated on laboratory procedures and techniques to enhance your skills.

Basic qualifications

Certification in phlebotomy from an accredited program. Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to blood collection.

Preferred qualifications

Previous clinical laboratory experience or hospital experience. Familiarity with laboratory procedures and techniques. Experience in patient care settings, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills.
