Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and highly skilled Pet Groomer with minimum 2.5 years experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a love for animals and a strong background in pet care, grooming, and handling. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing high-quality grooming services to pets, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the grooming process. This role requires excellent animal handling skills and the ability to work with various breeds and temperaments. References are a must!

Responsibilities

Perform grooming services including hand scissoring , breed clips, teddy bear trims, bathing, brushing, trimming, and nail clipping - must have their own grooming tools such as clippers, shears, blades, etc. Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin to determine appropriate grooming techniques. Use proper animal restraint techniques to ensure the safety of both the pet and the groomer during services. Maintain cleanliness of grooming tools and work areas to uphold hygiene standards. Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets' grooming needs and any concerns observed during the grooming process. Must have good phone etiquette and be able to book appointments. Provide additional pet care services such as ear cleaning, teeth brushing, and skin treatments as needed. Stay updated on grooming trends, techniques, and products to enhance service quality.

Qualifications

Proven experience in pet grooming or a related field is preferred. Strong animal handling skills with experience in dog handling; familiarity with various breeds is a plus. Knowledge of animal restraint techniques to ensure safe handling during grooming sessions. Background in veterinary care or as a veterinary technician is advantageous but not required. Excellent communication skills to interact positively with pet owners and team members. A genuine love for animals and commitment to providing exceptional care. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
