Position Summary:





The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of company-owned equipment and systems to ensure Fleetway Market locations operate safely, efficiently, and with minimal downtime. This role supports fueling systems, POS hardware/software, building equipment, and general facility infrastructure to deliver a consistent, high-quality customer experience.





The ideal candidate is technically and mechanically inclined, safety-focused, adaptable, and capable of working independently across multiple store locations in a fast-paced retail environment.





This is a full-time, 50 hours per week, exempt position, requiring on-call availability, which is ineligible for overtime pay after 40 hours worked in a standard workweek.




Essential Tasks, Duties and Responsibilities:




Equipment Installation, Maintenance & Repair:




-Install, maintain, and repair fueling station equipment, including pumps, card readers, display screens, hoses, nozzles, and associated fittings.

-Perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and upgrades of indoor POS systems and related hardware.

-Maintain and repair kitchen service equipment, door hardware, price signage, and general facility components.

- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance to reduce unplanned downtime.

-Maintain accurate maintenance and repair logs.



Preventative Maintenance & Reliability:




-Monitor utilities and support systems to prevent store shutdowns.

-Conduct routine inspections to ensure safe and reliable operations.

-Maintain Fleet Morris Petroleum equipment including ice machines and refrigeration systems.

-Escalate issues requiring contracted service providers.



Compliance & Safety:




-Perform all work in accordance with safety policies and best practices.

-Utilize PE and follow Lockout/Tagout procedures.

-Support compliance with DEQ and DAG requirements.



Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:




-Experience with Gilbarco and Veeder-Root equipment strongly preferred.

-Candidates possessing existing Gilbarco and Veeder-Root certifications will receive priority consideration.

-Strong troubleshooting, mechanical, and customer service skills.

-Valid Class D Driver License.



Required Experience and Education:




-Minimum 4 years' experience in petroleum technical services or general technical maintenance.

-High School Diploma/GED required.



Work Environment:




-This is a field-based role with frequent travel required between store locations.

-Work is performed in a mix of office, retail, and food service environments.

-Exposure to kitchen operations, coolers/freezers, and outdoor elements.



Physical Requirements:




-Must be able to travel between site locations frequently (up to 90% of the time).

-Occasionally ascends/descends stairs, ladders, or stockroom platforms.

-Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds frequently; 75 pounds occasionally.

-Frequent standing, walking, stooping, reaching, talking, handling, hearing and carrying.
