Certified Fire Investigator (Must be certified by the International Association of Arson Investigators) As a Fire Investigator with US Forensic you will: \xc2\xb7 Evaluate residential and commercial properties to determine the origin and cause of fires. This entails assessing whether the fire is a result of a construction defect, material, equipment, appliance failure, lack of maintenance, third party contribution, or arson. \xc2\xb7 Work from your home office about 50% of the time and conduct site visits about 50% of the time. Requirements: \xc2\xb7 A CFI or CFEI certification is required. \xc2\xb7 Experience in investigating the origin and cause of fires. \xc2\xb7 Experience in investigating vehicle or heavy equipment fires is preferred. \xc2\xb7 Ability to analyze various accidents to determine causation \xc2\xb7 Ability to write professional, concise reports. \xc2\xb7 Ability to conduct investigations that will require standing, walking, climbing, entering confined spaces, working outside in various weather conditions at different times of the day or night.
