Job Description


DEFINITION: The instructor is a master teacher who provides academic or enrichment instruction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

TASKS:
Facilitate tech-assisted intervention programs.
Analyze student data to inform targeted 1:1 or smaller group interventions.
Attend regular professional development and/or collaboration as needed for position.
Bi-weekly communication with core instruction teachers and building administration via email regarding student progress.
Bi-weekly written or verbal communication with parents/guardians regarding student progress and attendance.
Create and implement highly engaging and AZ CCRS based curriculum
Maintain daily attendance records.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICS:
Deep understanding of English Language Arts concepts, misconceptions and multiple approaches/models for teaching a concept.
Excellent oral communication skills
Commitment to the full tutoring cycle
Highly effective classroom management in a 1:1 computing environment
Experience and rapport with high risk student populations
Exceptional Interpersonal Skills
Experience with data analysis
Considerable knowledge of technology.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work is performed in indoor and outdoor environments. Work requires frequent driving, walking and standing. Work may involve lifting and carrying objects weighing as much as 50 pounds. May be exposed to extreme weather conditions and infectious diseases.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Required: Grades 3-5: Valid Arizona teaching certification
Required: Grades 6-8: Valid Arizona teaching certification with approved area
OR certified substitute certificate

Depending on the needs of the District, some incumbents in this class must be able to demonstrate fluency in both Spanish and English as a condition of employment

Hourly Pay: $30.00 Start Date: July 2023 - June 2024 After School Program Hours per Week: 1-16 hours will vary
