This role will focus on optimizing costs, quality, and delivery while improving Supply Chain efficiencies and maintaining supplier relationships. Responsibilities also include managing the consumables purchasing team and ensuring the timely and cost-effective delivery of materials to meet timelines and requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement Category Strategy for Assigned Indirect Categories (~50%)
+ Identify and engage with internal stakeholders across operations and business services to capture category requirements.
+ Assess potential opportunities for categories including spend segmentation, category maturity, cost drivers, and supply market analysis
+ Develop Sourcing Strategy for categories detailing projects, sourcing levers, timing, resources, and expected benefits
+ Adapt the strategy as business, market, and economic environments change
+ Support Annual Category Reviews including updated projects, metrics, strategy, and risk mitigation strategies
+ Manage relationships with key Suppliers at the Leadership level
+ Conducts supplier business reviews
+ Monitor supplier's quality and delivery performance
+ Leverage supplier relationship to assist buyers with expedites as needed
+ Responsible for category financial results for assigned categories. Develop strategies to achieve financial and category initiative goals Supply Chain Operations for Consumables Category (~50%)
+ Responsible for managing and implementing short and long-term sourcing strategies to achieve business objectives for the Consumables category.
+ Execute sourcing initiatives in alignment with strategic plans and supply chain strategies.
+ Negotiate and maintain contracts and agreements with key suppliers and service providers, ensuring quality, reliability, and competitiveness.
+ Establish strong and effective relationships with key suppliers (existing and new) to ensure quality, cost, delivery, and productivity, while leveraging the combined buying power of Mortenson's operations
+ Collaborate across all business functions to formulate, implement, and execute sourcing and continuous improvement strategies.

Foster teamwork, collaboration, and integration within Supply Chain and across Mortenson to provide cohesive solutions and ensure effective delivery of strategy.
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, construction management or equivalent combinations of technical training and/or related experience
8+ years of experience strategically managing Consumables category material and services spend. Experience managing other indirect categories is a plus.
2 years + experience managing a team.
Knowledge of ERP systems (such as Oracle) and capabilities.

The base pay range for this role
is $100,000 - $150,000. (Actual range is higher for the following office locations: Denver, CO and Chicago, IL - 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR - 10%, Washington, D.C. - 12.5%).
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience, with consideration given to internal equity.
