Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service and ensuring a positive shopping experience. Your responsibilities will include handling transactions, assisting customers with product inquiries, and maintaining the store's appearance. A strong background in retail sales and customer service is essential for success in this position.

Duties

Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system efficiently to process customer transactions. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, and addressing concerns. Assist with product demonstrations to enhance customer understanding and engagement. Utilize upselling techniques to promote additional products and services. Maintain accurate cash handling procedures, including balancing cash drawers at the end of shifts. Stock shelves and merchandise products effectively to ensure an organized shopping environment. Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support. Employ effective phone etiquette when handling customer inquiries via phone. Perform basic math calculations for transactions and inventory management. Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures while promoting a safe shopping environment.

Requirements

Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred. Familiarity with cashiering duties and cash handling practices is essential. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are required for effective interaction with customers and team members. Basic math skills are necessary for processing transactions accurately. Experience with merchandising and stocking products is a plus. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply to assist a diverse customer base.
