Duties



Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process transactions accurately and quickly, including cash handling and credit card payments Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and offering product recommendations or demos to enhance their experience Assist customers with product inquiries, upselling relevant items to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor Maintain merchandising standards by organizing shelves, displays, and promotional materials to attract customer attention and promote featured products Stock shelves regularly, ensuring products are available, properly labeled, and neatly arranged for easy browsing Manage inventory levels by receiving shipments, stocking new merchandise, and conducting stock counts to prevent shortages or overstock situations Demonstrate strong phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely Support sales initiatives through suggestive selling techniques and promoting store promotions or loyalty programs Keep the checkout area clean and organized while adhering to safety protocols and store policies Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced retail environment

Qualifications



Previous experience in retail sales or grocery store environments is preferred but not required; we welcome motivated learners eager to grow their skills Familiarity with POS systems and basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing Strong communication skills with the ability to engage confidently with diverse customers in bilingual settings is a plus Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service with professionalism and patience Experience in merchandising, stocking, or product demos is advantageous for supporting sales efforts Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a busy retail setting Basic understanding of retail math for balancing registers and managing inventory levels Supervising experience is a bonus but not mandatory; leadership qualities are valued for future growth opportunities Knowledge of phone etiquette and upselling techniques enhances customer interactions
