Overview

The hotel business functions seven days a week, 24 hours a day. All Team Members must realize this fact and be aware that at all times it may be necessary to move Team Members from their accustomed shift as business demands change. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.

Responsibilities

Responsible for all duties of the housekeeping operation and cleanliness levels in all areas of the property. Staff training, inter- department communications, and staff scheduling. Promote an atmosphere that insures customer and associate satisfaction. Maintain a strong attention to detail, leadership skills, and the ability to effectively deal with department heads, guests, and team members. Short and long term planning and management of the hotel's Housekeeping operation. Develop and recommend the budget, labor cost plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans maintain inspection program Follow all safety and security policies and procedures Work closely with all other departments Inspect rooms daily Purchase linens and housekeeping supplies Stay current on latest housekeeping and laundry technology Vendor relations and ensuring proper pricing, delivery, and maintenance Ensure OSHA and ADA policies are adhered to manage turndown service, special needs of VIP Guests, foreign dignitaries, etc. Follow Hyatt Global care and cleanliness commitment as Ambassador to the GBAC accreditation program. Ensure proper staffing levels for customer service goals. Weekly walk-troughs, documented inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and support facilities with the General Manager.

Qualifications

Prior experience in the positon or similar. Bachelor's degree Preferred. Excellent organization and management skills, effective communication skills, and ability to function well in pressure situations. Able to handle difficult situations Able to work under pressure Guest-focused personality Self-starting individual * Fully Bilingual a Must(Spanish/English)
