Job Summary:

The Carpenter is responsible for performing maintenance tasks necessary to preserve the buildings and grounds of the organization and to maintain the service equipment and systems in a safe, clean and operational condition. This position requires a willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays as necessary, also to work well with other and on his / her own.

Essential Qualifications: Must have a minimum of two years experience in the hospital maintenance field is preferred but not required. Must possess a valid driver\'s license. Requires practical experience in mechanical trades. Must have knowledge of measuring and testing equipment, hand and power tools, and electrical equipment. Must have basic knowledge of the following: Boilers and associated systems Electrical, ventilation and air conditioning systems Plumbing, carpentry and painting, hospital gases and gas system and basic knowledge of applicable safety engineering codes. Proficient in written and spoken English preferred.
