Framing Carpenter

Department: Civil - Building Concrete Forms

Supervisor: Concrete Foreman

Compensation: Prevailing Davis Bacon Commercial Wages

Location: Eielson Air Force Base, AK

Position Summary

Constructs, erects, installation of production wood framing.

Position Responsibilities

• Must provide your own basic carpentry hand tools and work boots appropriate for the work activity
• Layout, measure, and mark the wood or materials. Join and assemble the materials
• Check work for accuracy
• Build wooden fixtures
• May erect, climb and work on scaffolding and ladders for assembling structures above ground level. Uses safe practices, including body harness or other fall protection when required.
• Install structures and fixtures
• May be required to use the following tools/equipment: carpenter\'s hand tools, nail guns, skill saws, Sawzall s, hammer drills.
• Know and comply with the Company s safety rules/policies and DOSH regulations, including hazardous communication, fall protection plan, and confined space program
• Assume other responsibilities as assigned.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Ability to obtain a base pass for working onsite
• 3+ years carpentry experience
• experience in production wood framing
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work independently or with others
• Current driver s license

Physical Demands

Heavy: Exerting 10\xe2\x80\x9420 lbs. of force constantly to move objects; 25\xe2\x80\x9440 lbs. of force frequently, or Employees are required to use lifting equipment or seek assistance for anything over 40 lbs.
