to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures. This role works closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team to assess, implement, and evaluate patient care in alignment with current policies and procedures.

What You'll Do



Deliver high-quality, safe, and compassionate care for patients during cardiac and vascular procedures. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Monitor and evaluate patient status, responding to changes with appropriate clinical interventions. Operate and maintain specialized equipment used during invasive cardiovascular procedures. Administer medications and contrast media as directed, while ensuring patient safety. Support and adhere to Novant Health's mission of providing remarkable experiences for patients and families. Education & Experience Requirements



Graduate from one of the following accredited education programs (required): + Registered Nurse (RN)
+ Registered Radiology Technologist (RTR)
+ Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
+ Registered Cardiac Invasive Specialist (RCIS)
+ Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES)
+ Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (EMT-P)
+ Cardiovascular Technologist (CVT)
+ Vascular Intervention (VI)
Experience requirements: + RN: Minimum 1 year of Critical Care, Emergency Services, Cath/EP Lab, or Special Procedures experience (required)
+ EMT-P: Minimum 2 years of acute care hospital experience (required)
+ RTR, RRT, RCIS, RCES, CVT, or VI: 1 year of experience (preferred)

Licensure & Certifications



Must hold one of the following (as applicable to discipline): + RN: Current NC Board of Nursing License
+ RTR: ARRT Radiology credential
+ EMT-P: Paramedic credentialing/accreditation and/or associate degree from a recognized Paramedic program
+ RRT: Licensed by the NC Respiratory Care Board (NCRCB) and credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC)
+ RCIS/RCES/CVT/VI: Graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Program
If not an RN or RTR with CI/VI certification, must obtain

RCIS or RCES certification within 24 months of hire

(required). Additional requirements: + Successful completion of skill validations and competency testing
+ Ability to pass Cardiac Dysrhythmias Test
