Key Responsibilities:Complete onboarding and training requirements to perform clinical trial visits
Provide availability, confirm visit acceptance, communicate with clinical trial/program participant/patient
Prepare for the clinical trial visit by gathering supplies and equipment, testing the equipment, verifying expiration dates and determining visit readiness
Travel to location of clinical trial/program participant
Perform clinical trial visit activities within Sonographer scope of practice such as (but not limited to):
Conduct ultrasound examinations, including cardiac and vascular studies, according to established protocols.
Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
Explain procedures to patients, addressing any concerns to ensure comfort and cooperation.
Obtain and analyze patient history and clinical information to tailor ultrasound examinations effectively.
Document and maintain accurate records of examinations and findings.
Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to discuss findings and assist in diagnostic evaluations.
Adhere to safety protocols and infection control measures.
Stay current with advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques through ongoing education and training.

Ensure clinical trial visit is conducted according to ICH/GCP and accuracy of data collected during the visit
Position Requirements:
Experienced Pediatric Cardiac Sonographer or Adult Cardiac Sonographer with Associate's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field; Bachelor's degree preferred. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent.
Experience and knowledge of working in clinical research trials preferred
Attention to detail and highly organized
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to complete detailed data
Ability to work independently and as part of a wider team
Technology savvy
Ability to travel locally or across states lines based on licensure
Most of our Heroes work full-time and conduct visits on days off, weekends, and weekday evenings to accommodate this. Hawthorne Hero visits should be considered a source of additional income and professional satisfaction.
Location:
This position requires Sonographers travel to the location of the study/program participant/patient. Travel may be local or across state lines based on licensure to practice.
The visits will be reasonably close to where you live or work based on your preferences. You can define how far you want to drive (for example, no more than 30 miles or whatever number works for you). But we won't ask you to fly somewhere or drive long hours to a far-away visit unless you have indicated a preference for travel. If you have more than one home or would like to conduct visits while traveling away from home, we will provide you with the opportunity to share this information with us via multiple address fields in your Hero profile.
