What you\'ll do: The Capital Management team is part of the Balance Sheet Management function within the Corporate Treasury. We are looking for a seasoned capital management professional to help guide the firm in its journey toward becoming a $100B+ LFI bank. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of implementing best practices, providing thought leadership, and being a strong leader of people. Responsibilities of the Capital Management Director include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing, enhancing, and overseeing the implementation of the frameworks for stress testing.
  • Lead the annual capital plan, stress testing, and establishment of capital targets/limits.
  • Analyze and recommend the capital structure options in concert with overall strategic objectives.
  • Support the development and execution of capital markets issuances.
  • Development of capital-related risk limits and early warning indicators.
  • Liaising with regulatory agencies on capital reviews, exams, and ongoing meetings.
  • Partner closely with other teams in Corporate Treasury such as Liquidity Management, ALM, and Investments teams as well as Internal Audit, Model Risk, and 2nd line Risk Management.


What we are looking for:
Responsibilities:

The candidate will lead a team responsible for key aspects of capital management including forecasting and firmwide capital management frameworks. The candidate will lead discussions with senior executives on capital strategy and planning and will work closely with various lines of business and their teams. The ideal candidate should have extensive Treasury or finance/banking experience, strong leadership and management skills, and strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Managing a team of professionals.
  • Partnering effectively with LOB Treasurers and senior executives, Risk partners, and other stakeholders. Develop and mature the capital management function with the goal of being compliant with LFI requirements over time.
  • Development of idiosyncratic stress scenarios that reveal and acknowledge the firm\xe2\x80\x99s risk exposures due to changing macroeconomic conditions.
  • Monitoring and managing firmwide and legal entity capital positions.
  • Enhance regulatory capital and risk-weighted asset forecasting.
  • Liaising with US regulatory agencies on capital reviews and exams, and other regularly scheduled meetings.


Qualifications:
  • 15+ years of Treasury or finance/banking industry experience
  • Strong understanding of regulatory capital rules
  • Experience working at an LFI firm ($100B+)
  • Strong management skills with a team-first approach
  • Bachelor\'s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to promote partnership across groups within Corporate Treasury and overall firm
  • Strong, clear, and concise written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare executive-level presentations
  • Strong organizational and execution skills
  • Knowledge of bank regulations is strongly preferred
  • Location: Phoenix, AZ; New York, NY; Columbus, OH; Dallas, TX; San Jose; CA
  • Customer-focused mindset and building relationships with key internal customers
  • Ability to handle large amounts of data (big data) and present clear interpretable reports
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications \xe2\x80\x93 PowerPoint, Excel, Word
  • Capacity to work independently and in a team
  • Self-motivated and ability to motivate others
  • Goal-focused, positive, and constructive attitude
  • Ability to cope well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Worked in agile and financial industry experience is a plus
  • Ability to prioritize tasks
