Summary:

This Cigna Pharmacy Business Program Management Director will be driving the strategic, tactical and operational delivery planning and execution for the multi-year high visibility work across Cigna Health plan, Evernorth and external suppliers for the Pathwell SRx Program.

Objective:

  • Lead and oversee strategic, operational, and tactical initiatives for the Pathwell SRx Program, aligning key considerations around timing, scope, deliverables, program cadence, and measures of success/key performance indicators.
  • Partners with leadership to proactively ideate, identify, develop, and drive key work initiatives in partnership with the internal and external business partners, technology and share services counterparts.
  • Strategically influence outcomes in a dynamic hybrid waterfall/agile environment, including driving prescriptive work efforts as well as pivoting to evolve, as needed.
  • Helps strategically plan and deliver for the many cross-business and cross-functional work efforts that need to be completed in the short, mid, and long-term.
  • Partners with other core members of the leadership team to identify key gaps, interdependencies, and resourcing needed to be successful.
  • Facilitates and supports work stream efforts to ensure work and deliverables progress at necessary rates and to key timelines.
  • Oversees the collaboration with business unit partners and technical partners to enable functional teams to drive comprehensive and thoughtful tactical plans (including governance, financial tracking, and reporting).
  • Aligns communications and change management needs, oversight and guidance, where appropriate, to the supporting change managers and communications professionals.
  • Supports ad hoc needs as identified by Cigna Pharmacy, Medical Clinical and Enterprise leadership
Primary Responsibilities:
  • This Director is an experienced leader who can lead the team across multiple functional areas and influence cross-organizational teams. This individual directs the development of solution plans to optimize delivery of the Pathwell SRx Product roadmap enabling the strategy prioritized by senior and executive leadership. This will require leading the team that drives the end to end detailed milestone-driven delivery for this large initiative.
  • Responsible for delivering the project portfolio worth $30 mil for the Cigna Pharmacy organization.
  • Lead a multi-functional project team to provide end-to-end project management for this Cigna Pharmacy project initiative ensuring execution and implementation that project objectives are met. Establishing best practices and governance within the Project Delivery team.
  • Advance concurrent efforts and ensure project delivery meet requirements regarding quality, schedule and cost.
  • Direct team to execute and enable the project delivery solution plan in alignment with strategy set by Cigna Pharmacy leadership.
  • Financial management of project delivery budget.
  • Ensure by way of execution and implementiaon of the project scope is realized.
  • Ensure business readiness components and operational structure are tracked within the scope of the deliverables.
  • Drive to market delivery timelines, while also adapting to dynamic work environment and setting priorities to best support organization performance and impact.
Qualifications/Functional Competencies:
  • 10+ years of project management experience leading large cross functional initiatives
  • Exemplary core project management skills including multiple aspects of the PMBOK and the Scaled Agile Framework (certification a plus)
  • Experienced leader - Ability to lead, manage and influence teams
  • General understanding of PBM landscape
  • Process-oriented with quality mindset, strong organization and planning skills
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results required
  • Customer-orientation and customer insight/experience skills
  • Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to interpret and synthesize data, insights
  • Strong problem-solving skills; Innovation solution identification & development
  • Ability to create and implement contingency plans and solutions for problems that arise
