The Capability Manager/Jr. Product Owner will support the product discovery, launch readiness, and bug triage processes of Product Operations. The role will focus on a product domain and will work closely with business user, product management, and engineering teams with the aim of customer success and feature adoption. The Associate Product Operations Manager will work across the product design, development, and delivery life cycle. The role can be on a Product Manager or Data Analyst career path.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner closely with Product team members, Business teams, external partners, and other stakeholders to support discovery work for new features and integrations
  • Conduct data analysis, including summarizing user feedback, in support of improving processes and products
  • Work with product managers & engineering to specify test and acceptance criteria for quality assurance testing, including documenting the test plan & scenarios
  • Participate in user acceptance testing to validate solutions meet requirements
  • Create and maintain documentation to make processes sustainable and scalable
  • Dive into the data and systems using SQL to understand trends and troubleshoot issues
  • Support launch readiness process, including writing descriptions of new features, and helping operational teams prepare
  • Collaborate with product owners, other analysts, and vendors to document complex business logic across both responsibility areas and integration across the platform
  • Participate in the research of experience and output errors, track the resolution of bugs and production issues, develop contextualized communication to those impacted, and organize post-fix operations resolution steps

Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience in technology, insurance, or healthcare fields
  • 2+ years gathering business requirements from client/business stakeholders
  • 1+ years of concise technical writing and presenting to stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in a technical field
  • 1+ years independently conducting qualitative and quantitative analysis
  • 1+ year of experience with product development and its principles
  • Knowledge and experience in a healthcare environment with HIPAA requirements
  • Curiosity and a driving need to solve the biggest problems

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for California, Colorado, Connecticut, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington residents is $67,800 to $133,100. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
