Job Summary
Minneapolis College is seeking a full-time, permanent Public Safety Officer (2nd shift) for employment in the Public Safety department. This posiiton is in the Campus Security Officer job classification.
This position works as part of a team to foster and maintain a safe environment, monitor safety and security concerns, and be a contact person for emergency personnel at Minneapolis College buildings and surrounding property. The individual in this position also provides lead work direction for student employee - Student Safety Monitors.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
At least two (2) years of experience as a Security Patrol Officer, Crime Prevention Officer, or Peace Officer
Associate\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Law Enforcement, Paralegal or related field may substitute for one (1) year of experience.
Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in above areas may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
Additional Requirements
Must be able to pass FBI/BCA background check free from convictions or felony and/or misdemeanor violations.
Must be in good standing with Minneapolis College (MCTC).
In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State\'s vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
