Job Description

Silver Hills is a campground located near the beautiful and busy Silver Lake Sand Dunes in Mears, MI. Our park is open May 12th - September 30th (limited hours available during the months of May & September). We are looking to add a Campground Night Security team member to our 2023 staff to help us maintain our facilities and ensure a great guest experience for our campers. The position details are as follows: Job Duties:

• Patrol the park (foot & golf cart) and handle complaints of disturbances.
• Kindly inform and enforce campground quiet hours and properly address noise complaints.
• Know, understand and follow established park rules.
• Be friendly and helpful to all guests.
• Resolve conflicts among campers and immediately report escalated issues to Management.
• Monitor incoming traffic and direct campers to overflow parking if past curfew hours.
• Check on the pools, playground, and other areas around the campground to ensure that they are clean, safe, and secure.
• Monitor restrooms and make sure there are no major issues and that they are properly stocked with toilet paper and paper towels.

Skills & Experience Needed:

• Ability to assess a situation, use quick and reasonable judgment and resolve problems diplomatically.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds is required.
• The ability to diffuse situations using verbal communication skills is crucial.
• The ability to think critically and use good judgement is imperative.
• Display excellent decision-making skills.
• Experience working in security and/or law enforcement, and/or working in an RV environment, is a benefit.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Driver\xe2\x80\x99s License Required
• At least 6 months of experience working night security is strongly preferred but we will consider less experience.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Able to work nights, weekends and holidays.
• Able to work from May through September

• Pay $18-$22/hour, depending on experience and duties
• Flexible schedule (Part-Time, typically starting at 9pm, end times will vary)
