Job Classification: Athletic Professional Posting close date: April 21, 2023 Start date of this position: June 1, 2023 (or sooner if possible) Job Summary This position helps manage the day-to-day operations of the Men\xe2\x80\x99s and Women\xe2\x80\x99s Track & Field Programs, including team travel, meet preparation, registrations, team invitations, and meet management. What You\xe2\x80\x99d Be Responsible For
  • Assist with travel arrangements for Cross Country and Track & Field and provide support and operations management on the road for the team, including airlines, flights, hotels, buses/transportation, entries for each meet (both home and away)
  • Work with track administrative assistant to coordinate schedule, locations, and ground transportation.
  • Home Track and Cross Country meet preparations \xe2\x80\x94 extend and negotiate team invitations; conduct team registration; oversee meet officials and volunteer needs; time and score events; produce results in various formats; manage data flow to teams.
  • Hire timing company to maintain database of entries, draw up heat and lane assignments, manage and assign meet officials and support staff for each event, oversee team and individual packet pick-up
  • Fall Cross Country Meets: BYU Autumn Classic
  • Winter Indoor Track Meets: BYU Cougar Indoor Invitational I and II (collegiate), and provide support for the BYU HS Indoor Invitational
  • Spring Outdoor Track Meets: BYU Cougar Invitational, BYU Robison Invitational
  • Work with the administration in managing budget by keeping records of financial transactions.
  • Work with recruiting coordinator and coaches to arrange official visits, schedules, hosts and team activities for recruiting.
  • Work as a liaison with compliance and academics.
  • Prepare, manage, and market Kid\xe2\x80\x99s Track and Field Day and Kid\xe2\x80\x99s Cross Country 1 Mile races
  • Plan and execute team celebrations and events.
  • Team awards & recognition
  • Photo management for web and All-Americans
  • Manage awards, record boards, ladder ceremonies, and statistic-based info; including end of season banquets, alumni gatherings and Curtis Pugsley Athlete of the Year Awards.
  • Assist with program fundraising as assigned.
  • Work with equipment managers to ensure athletes needs are met.
  • Arrange agenda for weekly staff meeting.
What Qualifies You to Apply? Required: Bachelor\'s degree. Must have required degree by start date.
