Green Shield Pest Pros, Columbus's fastest-growing eco-friendly pest control company, is seeking a driven and relationship-focused
Business Development Representative
to expand our commercial and residential market presence. The ideal candidate will generate new business opportunities, build referral networks, and establish partnerships with property managers, hospitality groups, HOAs, realtors, and local businesses. Duties
Conduct daily outbound activities including field visits, warm calling, and follow-up outreach
Identify and qualify new commercial opportunities across hospitality, property management, real estate, and local business sectors
Engage with prospects via phone, email, social media, and in-person introductions to present Green Shield's services
Develop tailored proposals and assist with pricing to support closing new accounts
Attend networking events, vendor days, business expos, and community events to expand market visibility
Drop off marketing materials and coordinate on-site promotional activities
Maintain and update CRM software to track interactions, leads, and pipeline progress
Collaborate with the GM and marketing team to support lead-generation campaigns
Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering appropriate pest management solutions
Deliver weekly KPI reports including new contacts, visits made, leads generated, and revenue produced
Skills
Strong communication and relationship-building skills across B2B environments
Proven experience in business development, B2B sales, hospitality sales, or home services (preferred but not required)
Experience with outbound calling, warm calling, canvassing, or route sales
Proficiency with CRM platforms (Salesforce or similar) for tracking pipelines
Strong negotiation and closing ability with commercial accounts
Customer service-oriented mindset with a focus on long-term relationships
Ability to work independently while meeting activity and revenue KPIs
Reliable transportation for daily field outreach (mileage reimbursed)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail when managing pipeline, follow-ups, and accounts
Familiarity with marketing or networking strategies that support lead generation

Pay: $50,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
