Maintenance Job Duties Position Title Building Engineer The employee performs maintenance needs for the commercial real estate property. Employee assists in providing a safe and well-maintained environment. The duties and responsibilities include servicing and repairing interior building needs and exterior needs which shall include, but not limited to the following. Other duties may be assigned. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Employee shall accept, review and assure completion of maintenance needs which develop on the property to which he/she is assigned. Work will encompass both common and tenant areas. Employee shall be capable of performing all maintenance tasks commonly associated with commercial property which includes but is not limited to grounds maintenance, maintenance and repairs of boilers, chillers, other HVAC equipment and plumbing Employee shall discuss problems, solutions and operational needs with managers as needed. Employee shall maintain a constant awareness of the condition of the properties and shall report shortcomings or potential trouble areas to his/her supervisor. Employee shall be in charge of locating, inventory, parts as are necessary to support his/her work and the properties. Employee will be cross trained for duty in all buildings of the commercial property. Employee will respond during off-duty hours to emergencies. A paid work cell telephone is provided.
