JOB SUMMARY:
The Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Specialist is responsible for assisting with the administration of all aspects of the BSA Compliance Program. Performs monitoring and reporting in the area of Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, Anti-Money Laundering, OFAC, and Customer Identification Program compliance. Follows industry standards and regulatory guidance to ensure the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s compliance efforts are maintained on a daily basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
a. Review alerts generated by the bank\xe2\x80\x99s automated monitoring systems (Patriot Officer, Guardian Officer, and Enquirer Officer), as well as core system reports, to identify transactions that present an increased risk of money laundering and/or suspicious activity. Complete reporting associated with such activity, such as a currency transaction report (CTR) or a monetary instrument log (MIL).
b. Monitor completion of Customer Due Diligence (CDD) questionnaires weekly.
c. Perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) on higher risk accounts.
d. Maintain the Bank\xe2\x80\x99s 314(b) status with FinCEN annually.
e. Assist with reporting requests for senior management, bank committees, and the boards of directors, as well as to support any regulatory exams, internal audits, and risk assessments.
f. Assist with BSA training and respond to BSA questions from associates.
g. Assist with BSA policy and procedures updates.

COMPLIANCE:
a. Maintain audit, security, compliance, and regulatory standards.
b. Keep informed of changes in general, banking services, procedures, and in the economy as well.

MISCELLANEOUS OTHER DUTIES:
a. Assist with company functions when possible.
b. Fill in for other departments and/or companies when high volume creates a need if it works within the department/company schedule.
c. Work Saturdays and some holidays on a rotation basis.
d. Assume other duties and responsibilities as requested.

REQUIREMENTS: Minimum Qualifications:
a. One to three years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in banking.
b. High school education or equivalent.
c. Ability to travel to Nebraska, Wyoming, and Colorado locations.
d. Effective verbal and written communication skills.
e. Demonstrated strength in decision making, dependability, independence, organization, problem solving, and time management.
f. Professional appearance.
g. Proficiency in Excel, Word, Adobe, and Outlook. Understanding of the bank\xe2\x80\x99s JHA systems preferred.
h. Able to work with and maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information.

Physical Requirements:
Light Work - exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. Reaching, fingering, grasping, repetitive motions, stooping, crouching, standing, walking, lifting, climbing, kneeling, talking, hearing, pulling, pushing, thinking, concentrating and interacting with others.
