Branch Manager

Elite Flooring, Inc. is a leading floor covering contractor Headquartered in Atlanta, GA, with a proven track record of leadership and success since 1996. The Company provides exemplary service and the finest and most sought after flooring products to its national, regional and local customers, who include new home builders, general and commercial contractors, multi-family new construction and rehabilitation, existing apartment communities and property managers, military installations, as well as other segments of the construction industry. The Company services its customers throughout the southeast and mid-Atlantic regions of the U.S. through its five offices located in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, and Tennessee.

Assignment Focus: The Branch Manager is responsible for the profitability of their branch and for all operational matters of their branch in accordance with the company\xe2\x80\x99s policies and procedures. They also are responsible for assisting the COO in the growth and development of their branch within their operating regions.
Role: Through a respectful, constructive, high energy and hands-on style, guided by the objectives and entrepreneurial spirit of the company, the Branch Manager will provide the leadership, oversight and guidance to ensure that their branch possesses and maintains the proper operational controls and disciplines, administrative and reporting procedures, and people and systems to effectively grow the branch and to protect and enhance its financial strength and operating efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the implementation, adherence to and overall effectiveness of all branch processes and controls, internal and external, and for supporting and contributing to the continuous improvement environment of the Company.
  • Provide timely, accurate and actionable reports on the operating condition of the branch.
  • Responsible for driving the branch to achieve and exceed sales, profitability and cash flow goals, as well as supporting the attainment of the company\xe2\x80\x99s overall business goals and objectives.
  • Review procedures and protocols in the attempt to uncover any weaknesses within the branch\xe2\x80\x99s existing operations, and make recommendations for improvement, as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the COO to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure around systems, controls, processes, and personnel designed to support and facilitate the near and long term growth and profitability objectives of the branch.
  • Take ownership and lead the development, communication and implementation of effective operational processes and controls.
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and management to a service organization that mirrors the mission and core values of the company.
  • Possess a full understanding of and leadership to the sales, administration, customer service, inventory management, dispatch, warehousing and field teams on a daily basis.
  • Provide mentoring and coaching to develop and inspire employees.
  • Foster a success- oriented, accountable environment within the branch.
  • Act as ambassador for the firm to clients, vendors, and business partners.
  • Analyze and evaluate activities, costs, operations, budgets, and forecast data to determine branch progress towards stated goals and objective.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of five years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in business or construction management with operations, planning and financial oversight responsibilities.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision, evaluation and coaching.
  • A minimum of three years of experience working with executive management or a Board of Directors.
  • College graduate with a degree in construction, finance, accounting, or management.
  • Most recent 3 years will have been spent heading up the operations function for a customer centric service-oriented company.
  • Proven skills in business or financial management.
  • Strong operational acumen.
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff/team.
  • Experience with MS Excel and Word required \xe2\x80\x93 PowerPoint experience a plus
  • Exceptional systems skills; experience with Microsoft Dynamics or Great Plains is a plus.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills across all levels of the organization.
  • Superior follow up, time management and project management skills required.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask and work in a fast paced office setting.
  • Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced environment and during accompanying moments of conflict, stress and crisis.
Salary & Benefits
  • Salary will be commensurate with experience
  • 401k with company contribution of $0.50 on the dollar up to 6% for matching.
  • First year 12 days paid time off. After Second year 18 days paid time off.
  • Medical and Dental paid by employer at 75%
