Duties
Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks including data entry of journal entries, accounts payable, and accounts receivable transactions.
Reconcile bank statements and perform general ledger accounting to ensure accuracy across all financial records.
Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations
Conduct payroll processing, tax filings, and maintain compliance with governmental accounting standards.
Assist with budgeting processes by tracking expenses and analyzing financial data to support strategic decision-making.
Perform account reconciliation tasks including bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation to maintain integrity of financial data.
Skills
Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
Strong understanding of double entry bookkeeping principles and financial concepts.
Experience with governmental accounting standards and non-profit accounting practices preferred.
Ability to perform balance sheet reconciliation, account analysis, and account reconciliation efficiently.
Skilled in preparing journal entries, managing accounts payable/receivable, and conducting bank reconciliations.
Excellent attention to detail with strong organizational skills including 10 key typing proficiency.
Familiarity with payroll processing, tax experience, and budgeting techniques.
