We are seeking a dedicated and experienced BOH Lead to oversee our back-of-house operations in a fast-paced culinary environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for food production, ensuring that all kitchen activities run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a hands-on approach to cooking, food preparation, and management of kitchen staff while maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality.
Responsibilities
Supervise daily kitchen operations, ensuring all food production meets quality standards.
Train and mentor kitchen staff in food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and food safety practices.
Manage inventory levels, ordering supplies as needed to maintain efficient operations.
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction.
Implement and uphold food safety regulations and sanitation standards within the kitchen.
Assist in menu planning and development, incorporating seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
Oversee shift management, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently during peak hours.
Conduct regular performance evaluations of kitchen staff to promote growth and development.
Qualifications
Proven experience in food production, cooking, and food preparation within a restaurant or catering environment. Fast paced breakfast experience a plus.
Strong background in food service management, including supervising experience in a culinary setting.
Knowledge of hospitality management principles and practices related to kitchen operations.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
Familiarity with food handling procedures and safety regulations is essential.
Experience in banquet or dietary department operations is a plus.
Previous restaurant management experience is highly desirable.
Culinary experience with an emphasis on quality customer service is required.
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
